Opening Prayer and Lord's Prayer, April 27, 2008

To you oh Lord, we have come to worship, for you we were created and through the power of your spirit we have been drawn here this morning, expecting, anticipating and offering your our praise. God, you are good, holy and righteous, shepherd of our soul. You hold our lives, you guide our steps, you comfort and sustain us. You want lush pastures and the safety of still waters for us. Thank you for your strong arms, open to us with invitation and acceptance. May we be joyful and enthusiastic as we follow our Shepherd who taught us to pray…
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
