Children's Ministry
Just as Jesus loved and openly invited children to come to him, God desires to have a relationship with people even from their earliest days.
Following the example of Jesus, our church welcomes and values children and desires to assist the youngest members of our church family in becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
We believe that children are not just the future of the church, but also the present. As such, we seek to help children to meet and follow Jesus as they learn and grow, to provide them with opportunities to serve their church family as well as people around the world, and to share the good news of God’s love with those around them.
Opportunities for Smaller Kids
Wee Care Nursery, for children 0 – 5 years old
Our ministry to infants and toddlers is to share the love of Jesus with young children and their parents during worship services
Babies, toddlers, and small children are welcome to stay with their parents and can be brought at any time before or during the service if needed. Each Sunday Service is staffed by two or more Nursery Angels, with pagers available to reach parents if they are needed during the service.
Due to food allergies and choking hazards, no food or drinks (except bottles) are permitted.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are offered at 9:45 am each Sunday for children from Toddlers through Grade 5. Classes use the Hands On Bible Curriculum published by Group Publishing, allowing children to learn using multiple learning styles, and with “Hands-On” interactions.
Special Events
Our Children’s Ministry also offers a number of special programs and events including Summer Sunday School, an Easter Party, Christmas Pageant, Children’s Day Program, a Children’s Library, and more!
Vacation Bible School 2008
Each summer, we offer a week of Vacation Bible School packed with music, stories, games, crafts, food, friends, and fun. All children from preschool up through those who have just completed fourth grade are invited to bring their friends and participate in this opportunity to have a blast learning about God during the summer!
