FAMILY CAMPING WEEKEND

BBC IS PLANNING another Family Camping Weekend at Oceanwood in Ocean Park, Maine for Columbus Day Weekend, October 8–11, from Friday night after dinner until Monday after breakfast.  This will be a work weekend, so families will donate a small portion of their time to help out around the camp. This special weekend is filled with lots of fun and times of devotion.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact Jeni Byrne (774-212-3959).

OLD-TIME COUNTRY STORE FAIR ITEMS

BOLTS OF CALICO, paper of pins, barrels of flour, bins of tea and a hand-turned coffee grinder—that was the old-time country store, its shelves stocked with necessities of rural life.  The Country Store at BBC’s annual Holiday Fair will share that ambience, with shelves of jams, jellies, and relishes but with some added delicacies our forebears never knew.  Such delights as herbal dip mixes, flavored vinegars and appealing snacks like trail mixes or granola bars will also grace these shelves.  In fact, every kind of delectable goody your imagination and your kitchen can “cook up”.  Please, mix up a batch of your favorite recipe for the November 6 Holiday Fair!

COMING IN SEPTEMBER…

Women’s Fellowship Featuring Pastor Mary Scheer

CIRCLE SEPTEMBER 8 on your calendar for the first Women’s Fellowship meeting of the 2010–2011 year.  We will meet at noon in Fellowship Hall to enjoy a salad potluck luncheon, followed by a talk by Pastor Mary about “Women in the Middle East.”  (This is not the same talk she gave when she returned from her deployment.)
