VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

WE ARE LOOKING FOR ADDITIONAL volunteers to serve in the nursery at our 8:30 a.m. worship service.  Our numbers are growing, and we need a few more people who would enjoy spending an hour with the youngest members of our church family!  If you can’t be a part of the regular schedule, we need volunteers for the three Easter morning services and would love your assistance for that one busy day!  If either of these opportunities is something you can help with, please contact Jeni Byrne. Thank you!!

REGISTRATION STILL OPEN FOR WOMEN’S RETREAT

THERE’S STILL TIME TO REGISTER for “Women of the Bible,” the BBC Women’s Retreat which will be held on June 4–6, at the Sacred Hearts Retreat Center, in Wareham, MA.  Our retreat leader, Rev. Mary Luti, will help us look at the women of the Bible—their strengths, struggles, and their victories!  The posters in the main church entrances give all the details, and sign-up flyers are at the Welcome Center.  The cost for both nights is $140; one night is $115. A $60 deposit will hold your place.  Scholarships are available.  If you have further questions, contact Nancy Smith.

YES, THERE WILL BE AN EASTER BREAKFAST!

ONCE AGAIN, BBC WILL PROVIDE our annual Easter Breakfast at 7:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday.  This is another way to celebrate the Risen Christ and to fellowship with our BBC friends.  There is no charge for the breakfast, but donations will be accepted.  Please sign up at the Welcome Center.  Our thanks to Elsa Scott and Suzanne Clowry and all their helpers who will be preparing and serving the meal.

MUSIC CONCERT

BBC WILL HOST A FREE CONCERT for Christian musician, Jeffrey Todd, from Lee, Florida, tonight from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., in the sanctuary.  Jeff is a singer/songwriter and plays acoustical guitar.  His musical style is folk/country/Christian praise influenced by James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Eric Clapton and others.  He has performed at Soulfest, Tupelo Music Hall and many churches.  His website is www.jeffreytodd.com.  For more information, call Michael Hilbig at 508-247-8182.

OTHER LOAVES AND FISHES

IF YOU HAVE NOT PICKED UP your pictorial directory insert, copies are available at the Welcome Center today and also during the week at the end of the Welcome Center counter.  These include photos of new members who joined from 2005 – 2009.

THE CARING CUPBOARD continues to be a busy place, and all the donations we have received are appreciated.  Ongoing we are in need of apple juice, Jell-O, hash, baked beans and canned pastas.

IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL NEED FOR PRAYER, please let the All-Church Prayer Chain know so they can share your burdens with a concentrated prayer effort.  Make certain you have permission from the person(s) in need of prayer, and then contact Priscilla Carter, or Judy Heath. If either of them is unavailable, you may call the church office, 508-896-3381.  There are many uplifting prayers on our web site. Reading them may be an immediate comfort.
